At the Kuusamon Tropiikki water park, both adults and children can relax after outdoor activities. The pool area features three hot tubs, a counter-current pool, a waterfall, and a 45-meter long water slide.

Located next to the resort, the Angry Birds Activity Park offers plenty of fun physical activities for the whole family, including a parkour area, an adventure course, a racing track for pedal cars, a bouncing game, and precision football.

At the resort, you can spend quality time with your family or enjoy an evening with friends while bowling. The resort features a glow bowling lane, located next to the O'Learys restaurant.

Adjacent to the resort is a small gym, equipped with everything needed for improving and maintaining fitness.
The gym is free for our guests staying at the hotel. Note: there are no changing facilities associated with the gym.
Children under 12 years old are only allowed in the company of an adult.
Just a 15-minute drive away is Ruka, one of Finland's most diverse ski resorts. You can get there by car or take the ski bus, which runs regularly right from the front of the hotel.
You can access the nearest cross-country ski trail directly from the resort. If you wish, you can even ski all the way to Ruka. The trail network in the area offers options for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
Come and greet Kuusamon Tropiikki's mascot reindeer Höpö at Kujala Reindeer Farm. At the farm, you can participate in activities such as sleigh rides or reindeer yoga! Additionally, you can purchase various reindeer products or art to take home from the farm shop.
In Kuusamo, there's a saying that there's not a single lake or river without fish. The area is filled with rivers, ponds, and lakes that offer great opportunities for fishing. The nearest spot for ice fishing is right within the resort at Petäjälampi, where you can especially catch whitefish.
Take a snack break and reserve the resort's grill hut for free, located by the shores of Lake Petäjä. The hut accommodates about 15 people and can be booked at the reception for two hours at a time.
You can also rent snowshoes from the resort's reception and head out into the nature of Kuusamo. Guided snowshoeing trips are also available; please ask for more information at the reception.
There are several national parks near Kuusamo that offer amazing opportunities to explore the region’s unique nature. Discover the magical atmosphere of Riisitunturi, enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Oulanka National Park and the Karhunkierros trail, or experience the peace of the wilderness in Hossa National Park.
Bikes are available for rent at the hotel reception. Set off to explore the nearby trails in Kuusamo easily.

The golf course in Kuusamo, opened in 2013, is located in the picturesque sandy terrain of Petäjäkangas, nestled between nine natural lakes and in close proximity to Holiday Club Kuusamon Tropiikki. The lakes are situated at an altitude of slightly over 260 meters above sea level, making the course the highest golf course in Finland. The opening shot of the front nine is hit from about 280 meters above sea level, while the opening shot of the back nine is hit from approximately 270 meters above sea level.

The 9-hole frisbee golf course at Kuusamo Tropiikki is available throughout the summer season. The holes are located near the spa hotel and are suitable for beginners, families, and fitness enthusiasts alike. Discs can be rented at the reception.
The resort features a tennis court that you can reserve for your use at the hotel reception. We also rent out tennis rackets and balls.
SUP boarding, or stand up paddling, is the absolute hit of summer water sports! You can practice paddleboarding while standing or kneeling on the board, using a single-bladed paddle. This activity is great for both leisurely sightseeing and more intense workouts.
Board rentals and payment can be made at the hotel reception.
The crystal-clear waters of Petäjälampi feature a smooth ground. The spring-fed pond is so clean that you could almost drink the water directly from it. There is a rentable lakeside sauna by the shore, which also has a swimming pier.
