The Vierumäki Water Park and Day Spa

There is space outside the saunas near the doors where a wheelchair can be left while using the sauna. The stone sauna can accommodate a wheelchair, but it may pose a hazard to other users, especially in emergency evacuation situations. Our saunas have 9M doors, so wheelchairs designed for spa use can pass through them. However, moving around in the sauna world requires an assistant or help from other sauna users, as all doors have door closers.

Both shower areas have one wider shower space with a wall-mounted seat and support handles.

There is no fixed lift in the pools, but a portable lift can be requested from the reception. The hot tubs and the cold pool in the sauna world are not accessible.

• The water park has changing facilities for women and men, each equipped with lockers. Please bring a towel from your hotel room.
• Only swimming trunks or shorts that are knee-length or shorter are allowed in the water park. Regular shorts cannot be worn in the pool for hygiene reasons.
• Swimwear is required in the saunas of the sauna world.
• Swim diapers are mandatory for spa guests aged 0-2, and they are available for purchase at the spa reception.
• Swimwear and towels can be rented at the spa reception.

• Children aged 0–2 are required to wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the spa reception for 4 euros.
• Children under 12 and those who cannot swim may enter the water park only with an adult. Children over 12 who can swim may enter the water park alone.
• All shower facilities are equipped with baby shower seats. A changing table is available in the changing rooms.
• The children's pool, heated to 32 degrees, features a small water slide, water toys, and floaties.

The Vierumäki water park has 5 saunas:

• Traditional Sauna "Löylysauna"
  ▪ Large sauna, 24 people
  ▪ Temperature around 80°C
  ▪ Three different bench levels in the sauna, with an additional accessible space.
  ▪ According to sauna tradition, the person sitting on the top bench determines the pace of pouring water on the stones.
• Steam Sauna "Höyrysauna"
  ▪ 9 people
  ▪ Temperature around 45–50°C
  ▪ Eucalyptus and EucaMint scents
• Salt Sauna "Suolasauna"
  ▪ 7 people
  ▪ Temperature around 50°C
  ▪ Himalayan salt
  ▪ As the salt stone warms up, it releases salty steam/salt particles into the sauna, which may help with colds, allergies, and asthma symptoms.
• Stone Sauna "Kivisauna"
  ▪ 12 people
  ▪ Temperature around 75°C
  ▪ A dark, natural stone sauna for relaxation.
  ▪ In this atmospheric sauna, the walls heat up, store, and gradually release warmth.
• Smoke Sauna (located in the water park’s yard area) "Savusauna"
  ▪ 13 people
  ▪ Temperature around 70°C
  ▪ A large traditional smoke sauna.
  ▪ The sauna design is inspired by Hobbiton (Lord of the Rings).

Various measures have been taken into account in the design of the spa to ensure sustainability and energy efficiency, such as:

• Frequency converters have been installed on all pumps. The pumps consume less electricity as they operate only as needed. All pumps also meet the IE3 standard energy efficiency requirements.
• The ventilation units reuse heat from the building, exhaust air, and shower and pool water. The heat generated by the spa is recycled to produce heat for the entire hotel building.
• Excess heat from the cold water pool is transferred to heat the warm pool, thus utilizing waste heat.
• The spa's drinking points are water fountains, where cups are not used.
• Disposable seat covers are not used in the spa.
• Hand towels are provided by fabric roll dispensers, so we do not use paper hand towels.
• The soap dispensers contain environmentally friendly soap with a Nordic Swan ecolabel.

• We are discontinuing the use of disposable seat covers in our saunas. You may bring a towel or your own seat cover to sit on, or sit directly on the sauna benches. You can also enter the sauna wearing a swimsuit, provided you wash thoroughly before and after using the sauna. Seat covers can also be purchased at the reception.
• The water park features many levels and stairs that may pose challenges for those with mobility impairments. Please inquire for more information at the hotel.
• You can access the lap pool from the leisure area and directly through the women's changing room into the sauna world.
• Diving is not allowed in the lap pool.
