Getting there, the responsible way

Our resorts are easy to reach by public transport. For example, Turun Caribia and Tampereen Kehräämö have great connections from the Helsinki area.

On each destination pages, you’ll find tips for arriving by bus or train. And for example in Vierumäki, getting around on foot or by bike is a breeze.

Smart choices on your plate

We serve plenty of delicious food at our resorts – but we encourage guests to take just the right amount at a time to help cut down on plate waste.

Our restaurants feature local specialties, organic products, and tasty vegetarian options.

Move your snacks

Step outside and explore! Our resorts are surrounded by beautiful nature and plenty of trails – perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, you’ll find rest spots and campfire areas, and you can easily grab snacks from our resorts before heading out.

Need a bike? Many of our destinations and holiday homes have them ready for you to use.

We do our best to make sure water is used only when needed—and we encourage our guests to do the same, whether in the spa, hotel rooms, or holiday homes.

Sheets and towels aren’t washed mid-stay unless requested, so we save water where it counts.

Spa warmth, straight to your room

The Vierumäki spa was designed with sustainability in mind. Heat from pools and exhaust air is recycled back into the building’s heating system, and pumps run only when needed – cutting energy use.

No disposable seat covers or paper towels here, and drink stations work without cups. Even the soap is eco-labeled. Every detail supports an environmentally friendly holiday.

From hot tub to toilet

Clean water is a Finnish treasure. But it’s not needed everywhere—like flushing toilets.

At Katinkulta, we reuse spa water for hotel toilets. That way, we save fresh drinking water—and nature says thanks.
