Karaoke World Championships 2012
Karaoke World Championships will be held from November 28th to December 1st 2012 in Rauha, Lappeenranta. The arena where the world's best amateur singers will perform is Holiday Club Saimaa. This year is the 10th anniversary of the Karaoke World Championships. Since 2003 Karaoke World Championships have been organised in Finland, Thailand, Russia and Ireland.
In this year's championships, there will be participants from over 30 countries. There are two categories, women and men, and therefore two championship titles are awarded. Each country can have one performer in both categories, except for Finland, the organiser, who will have two performers in both categories.
In Ireland, 2011, the winners were Cassanda Jopp from USA and Mark Hatem from Lebanon.
